New Kit: GENERATIONS II And a Little Freebie

It seems as if I am always posting a new kit on TGIF! Smiles... I am rushing today, but wanted to share my new kit, GENERATIONS II, previews and a little FREEBIE for all of you - I am sorry it has been awhile since I shared...So much going on.

I would like to wish my Wonderful Son, Matthew, a HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY! My Baby...Sigh. Matthew was actually due on January 6th., but as you can see, was anxious to make his way into the world. He is, and has always been, a Joyous Blessing!

Originally, I Intended For GENERATIONS II to Be a Simple Add-On Kit For GENERATIONS I, But This Kit Had a Mind of its Own, and Once it Reached a Size Which Demanded a Personalized Zip Code, I Knew it Had Progressed to a Full Size Kit and Then Some...Smiles... GENERATIONS Will Now Become a Heritage Series!

A Mix of Elegant and Vintage, GENERATIONS II Provides a Vast Array of Wonderful Elements For Your Scrapping Pleasure! There Are So Many Sweet Goodies Tucked Here and There in My Previews That You Cannot Possibly See Them All! Oodles of Intricate Lace Items and Details. The Entire Kit is Right At 680 MB! A Good Portion of This Number is the Alphas (5 Sets), But There Are a Total of 69 Elements and the Gorgeous Papers (20) Also. During These Times of a Struggling Economy I Want You to Receive a Whole Bunch of Happy For Your Money, So My Kits Will Remain On Sale Until the Light at the End of the Tunnel Has Been Turned Back On!No doubt in my mind that there will be a GENERATIONS III. LOL! Your FREEBIE is nothing fancy, but I am hooked on making this type of word art since I finally learned how to use a certain technique that used to drive me crazy. I hope that you enjoy it, and I will do my best to add more goodies throughout this next week...The last week of October - OH MY!!! I absolutely, positively, need to work night and day on Christmas Presents!!!The Background and Packaging Are Not Included With This Gift. Special Thanks to Karen Stimson (Woolsweater Street) for her Incredibly Lovely Lace Actions, and to Barb Speck for her Packaging Templates. You Will Find Your Family Tree Word Art HERE. Please Be Kind and Leave a Lil' Love Behind. Tis the Right Thing to Do. Wishing You a Most Beautiful Weekend!

Two FREEBIES

There are two Freebies today, because this is the last of the Ugly Duckling graphics and I found a couple of funnies I wanted to share as they made me giggle. In reply to Annie's 4shared comment: These vintage books can be quite spendy Sweetie. I owned an antique mall for over a decade so was able to collect many wonderful items through auctions, consignment sales, etc. If you are really interested though, I suggest you do a search on ebay as things tend to slip through the cracks on there right now due to sheer volume and the state of the economy. There are bargains to be found. The last of the Ugling Duckling can be found HERE. And here's a blast from the past...LOL!These images are from two different books - The first one really tickled my funny bone. You will find The Old Woman and Her Many Children HERE. Enjoy! Wishing Everyone a Perfect Week!

More UGLY DUCKLING Freebies

What a day! I nearly drove myself insane working on two layouts, which I intended to be quite simple for the sake of expediency. Of course, once I had the photos on the backgrounds, I got a bright idea...One that had me tearing my hair out and banging QWERTY into my forehead all the live long day...LOL! Neither page is finished, but I can laugh about the situation now, knowing that when others finally get to view these pages, they will have absolutely no idea the stress involved in their creation. Giggles. In fact, truth be told, they look rather Plain Jane. (Hmmmm...Must see what I can do about that) It was the techniques that had me flustered. In the meantime, my daughter-in-law sent me the most adorable pictures of my son and granddaughter at the Punkin' Patch today and I am so anxious to start playing with them!!! DH has the day off tomorrow, so we will be busy with other things...hopefully, outdoors, if the weather cooperates. Now on to your FREEBIE and back to my layouts. The Duckling and the Swans May Be Picked Up HERE. Please leave a little love behind. Dear Sweet Rose! I am so very sorry about the loss of your Mother Dearheart. I know how hard it is to lose one of the most important people in our lives. I am wrapping you in a warm, loving hug. Thank You for leaving your Lovely Comments Hon - They mean the world to me! Heidi, in answer to your question posted at 4shared; No, I do not draw these graphics by hand. I only wish I was that talented. Grin. These are very old lithographs from vintage children's books in my collection. First I scan the pages, then I extract the images, removing the backgrounds, and then I try to do a bit of touch up, depending on the condition of the finished product. Thank You So Much For Your Sweet Comments!
Oops, Almost Forgot. I have been adding items to my store, several were commercial use products I had in another store before becoming an Exclusive Designer at DigiScraps-N-More. However, here is one new item:Commercial Use SEA STAMPS.19 Finely Detailed PNG Stamps Featuring a Variety of Exquisite Sealife. Imagine the Beautiful Elements and Papers You Can Create With These Jewels of the Sea. Colorize, Add a Style, Glitter - Let Your Imagination Run Wild! These Could Easily Be Used For Hybrid Projects (Bookplates, Bookmarks, Cards, Invitations, Placecards, etc) and Educational Tools. Species Names, in Some Cases Latin, Have Been Provided For Each File.

300 dpi For Quality Printing. 2400 Pixels (Height)

No Alterations Needed if You Are Adding These to a Full Sized Kit, But Live a Little...Smiles...

You MAY NOT Simply Change the Color, Add Glitter/Styles and Sell These in Element Packages, Nor May They Be Given Away as Freebies. Be Creative and Have Fun!

Thank You For Your Continued Support!

Each kit is like a baby you know - We nurture and love them, rejoice in those first, faltering steps, watch them fall down and get bumps on their punkin' heads (Oh wait, that is mine when I am banging it on the keyboard), and then, at long last, yet hesitantly, we share them with the scrapping community, hoping and praying that someone else recognizes how many sleepless nights went into the process...how many oh-so-grand ideas went into the recycle bin...giggles...YES, I am feeling so much better!!!!! Now here is a preview of your Giftie. I have always loved this sweet story and the powerful message it conveys. Surely it must have been written for little girls...You may pick up your Ugly Duckling HERE. There will be two more installments to this set. Please be kind and leave some love behind.

Finally Back With FREEBIES !!!

Popping in quick like a bunny to add the final addition to the Nursery Rhyme Freebies. Spent two entire days in bed, and am assuming I was suffering from a mild kidney or bladder infection. Drank lots of water and cranberry juice, got up today, showered, took a walk with My Love and feel just about 100 percent better. Still a bit off, but the improvement is enough to signal that I am on the mend. I have a little correction to add on my last Freebie. It should have read, "Eleven, twelve, who will delve?..." There is also a mystery involved with this final batch as the book skips ahead from thirteen, fourteen to seventeen, eighteen. NO fifteen, sixteen. Isn't that strange? You may pick up today's Gift HERE. Please leave some Love behind if you download. Thank You Sweet Ladies who left me Get Well Wishes and Such Lovely Comments at 4Shared and here on my blog. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Now I must go and make up for lost time on my new kit.
Toodles!

Seven, Eight, Lay Them Straight FREEBIE

Just popping in long enough to add today's FREEBIE for you. I am not feeling very well, which is strange because I ALWAYS feel well, so I am going to go to bed earlier and see if more rest might help.I hope you enjoy these little gems - Sorry about part of the bow being missing in Lay Them Straight - It was on the edge of the book and wouldn't scan, even after several attempts. I was going to use the clone stamp to correct this, but will leave it up to you this time around. You may pick up your gift HERE. Please leave some LOVE behind if you download.

ONE, TWO BUCKLE MY SHOE FREEBIES !!!

First of all, in response to Deadrose's comment: "Boy, wasn't it fun yesterday! Awfully early in the season for winds like that... I'm in Seattle, and my husband and I sat down in a cafe to eat - just as we were placing our order, the power went out. *sigh* I wanted that cuban sandwich so badly, but they're grilled." BUMMER about the sandwich...It hurts especially when you are so looking forward to something YUMMY! Smiles... Which cafe were you at? DH and I are always interested in new places to try! We are almost neighbors - We live in Shoreline, which used to be Seattle...LOL! My husband is co-owner of Barnaby's in Tukwila, so needless to say, food is an important part of our lives. Too much so...sigh...

Now on to tonight's FREEBIE, which will be another small series of an age old nursery rhyme that helped many a generation learn how to count. Personally, I learned in my Grandmother's Button Tin, and now suffer from a very serious addiction - Collecting Vintage Sewing Buttons.Primitive little sketches, but I find them charming. You May Pick Up Sticks HERE. Please leave a little Love behind, and THANK YOU to All of you wonderful ladies who do post comments. It really does my heart good as so many don't, like, the majority. Oh Well...I do ask that you DO NOT share my files, although you are more than welcome to share my blog link with your groups, friends, family, etc. Also, please do not repackage these stamps for sale and call them your own. Unfortunately this happens, has happened, and is so disheartening, but I won't harp on it.

We did not paint today as my youngest son came to visit for the day - THANK YOU MATT! LOL! The Seahawks lost miserably...miserably. BIG Sigh...

Well, I am off to work on my new kit for a while...I have been aching to get to it all the live long day.
Wishing You a Lovely Week, Filled with Smiles and Laughter.

Windstorm and More ALICE FREEBIES

Happy Saturday (Technically Sunday...But I Haven't Been to Bed Yet, So it is Still Saturday)Scrappin' Friends! I Hope You Are Enjoying a Lovely Weekend. We Had a Bodacious Windstorm Here Today...I Ended Up Shutting the Computer and Pretty Much Everything Else Down as the Lights Were Flickering and it Was a Wee Bit Scary Back Here in My Office, Surrounded By Tall Trees. It May Seem an Exaggeration, But Pine Cones Can Sound Like Bowling Balls Hitting the Roof! LOL! Our Yard and Driveway Are Covered With Small Limbs and Needles. It Doesn't Sound Like Much...The Gusts Were 40 mph With Sustained Winds of 30 Some Odd mph For Several Hours. A Prelude of Things to Come, No Doubt. I Was in a Flow Working On My Newest Kit, So Was Disappointed When I Had to Walk Away. I Have Another Batch of Alice For You - I Think This is the Last of the Illustrations From This Book. No Worries...I'll Dig Up More Stories...In Reply to Donna's Question in the Comments Section, "Yes Sweetie, You May Still Pick Up All of the Other Sketches in the Set and Previous Freebies as Well...Just Scroll Down and You Will Find All of Them. Here is Tonight's Addition:Please Be Kind and Leave Some Love Behind if You Download.

Now I Am Hoping to Work/Play For a Couple of Hours to Make Up For Lost Time. DH Has Tomorrow Off, So it is Back to Painting. After the Seahawks Game, That is...Or During. It is Going to Be a Tough One For Our Boys...

TEA With ALICE and FRIENDS - FREEBIES

Happy Birthday Mama! Today would have been my Mother's 75th Birthday. We lost her just a month and a half after her 62nd birthday to pneumonia, and I still relive that day as if it just happened yesterday. Mom's ashes live here with us in the cottage, and although this may seem a bit macabre, their presence is a comfort to me. She sits on the top shelf of our closet with my father...(they were officially divorced in 1966, but had not lived together since I was a baby...a good many years prior...Smiles...), my Uncle Gale, Mom's older brother, and my husband's mother, Grace. Party in the House Tonight! Smiles...

Here is today's FREEBIE - I hope you enjoy it. Please leave some love behind if you download. I look forward to reading your comments each day.
Wishing Everyone a Beautiful Weekend - It is rainy once again here in Washington, making the three gorgeous, sunny days we had this week, just that much more special.
Hug from Idgie

The Queen Of Hearts Says "GIVE THEM FREEBIES"

And So I Shall...Smiles...
First an update...I talked to my future son-in-law on the phone tonight and he is doing very well. Of course, he is one of those kind of guys who would say that to make everyone else feel better, but the outlook is encouraging. His condition has been a wake up call for the entire family, which is a good thing. We are all on a campaign to get more exercise, eat well, yada yada...LOL! My Love and I try very hard to be good...we are old enough and wise enough to be aware of what we have to do...We just go in phases and on occasion, slip up in a big way. Sigh... The treadmill comes out of retirement this week since the weather will be turning surly, which takes the fun out of our usual walks. Thank You From the Bottom of My Heart to those of you who sent prayers and well wishes! Now, on to tonight's FREEBIE as I am working on a new kit that I want to have finished by early next week at the latest. I think it is going to be "Beautiful" I swear I have been having flashbacks to childhood ever since I began scanning and extracting these graphics. I can picture the bedroom that I shared with my brother in the old apartment building at 916 Yale Avenue North. I can smell the myriad of combined ethnic meals as our neighbors prepared their suppers - I grew up in a very multicultural neighborhood. Going back has been a pleasant journey. The King and Queen of Hearts Await You Right HERE. Please be kind and leave some love behind and I'll be inspired to keep sharing these treasures.
Wishing Everyone a Fabulous TGIF and a Lovely Weekend!

ALICE is BACK With More FREEBIES

October 3rd...WOW! We have been Absolutely Blessed with 3 Beautiful, Sunshiny Days in a row. Two we spent at local beaches. Today, I stayed inside of the house, waiting for an update on my future son-in-law, whom I adore. My daughter's fiance is just 44 years old, appears to be the picture of health, but in just three short weeks has undergone two open heart surgeries to open blocked arteries. Today was his second surgery and I felt physically ill while waiting for news from my sweet sweet girl. This man has made my daughter so happy, treats her the way every mother dreams her daughter will be treated, is an honest, forthright and absolutely hilarious human being. He simply MUST be O.K. He simply MUST!!! LOVE YOU DOUG!

Here is another installment of ALICE IN WONDERLAND for your memories and scrapping pleasure. I hope you enjoy these vintage graphics - I do love sharing them with you. I am working on two new kits but these are going to take some time to complete...I can visualize all of the things I want to include, and they won't happen overnight. Smiles... I will pop in with more Alice tomorrow, which will technically be the day after tomorrow on my end, because right now is already tomorrow. Deep, eh? In the meantime, LIVE, LAUGH , LOVE as if there may not be a tomorrow...
Smiles and Hugs!

Vintage QP FREEBIE, New Products and Much More!

Happy Saturday Scrappin' Friends!
It was a beautiful day here in Washington State...Well, with the exception of finding out that a Racoon hit our Koi Pond again last night. Right now it is still too murky to see if all of our "Phinney" children are still in there. I hope so, as we are rather attached to them. The last time this happened we lost Koi that we had for three years and they were quite large. It was devastating, so we cleverly devised a bamboo screen that we can lower over the pond at night. Ahhhhh...complacency...guess who forgot to put it down last night. Another big sigh...

I have a couple of new item previews for you, AND, a new FREEBIE, plus I want to share Tina's GORGEOUS New HERITAGE WEDDING KIT Previews.
